Dominica has been ranked as the top Citizenship by Investment Programme for the fifth year running by the CBI Index, a publication from The Financial Times’ Professional Wealth Management magazine. The extensive report compares and ranks all of the main CBI programmes across the world including all the Caribbean programmes, Jordan, Montenegro, Vanuatu, Turkey, Cambodia, Austria, Egypt, Bulgaria and Malta.
The methodology behind the ranking takes into consideration nine different factors such as cost, freedom of movement, the standard of living, mandatory travel or residency requirements, timeline, ease of processing, due diligence, family and certainty of the product. All five of the Caribbean nations offering CBI programmes rank in the top five spots, with Vanuatu, Malta and Turkey following closely behind.
It’s no surprise to us that Dominica has scored first place again as the country continues to provide one of the fastest and most cost-effective solutions to investors along with Saint Kitts and Nevis who scored equally with Dominica. Of course, there is no ”one size fits all” approach and whilst Dominica’s CBI programme is a popular choice for many, it is important to understand each programmes differences and compare which one may work best for your personal situation. La Vida’s expert consultants will be able to provide you with a free and balanced consultation to establish the most suitable programme to meet your unique needs. Please contact us for more details.
