Pakistan LOW RANKING PASSPORT

Pakistan Passport Holders

Pakistan passport holders have extremely limited visa-free access to just 46 destinations worldwide, ranking at the 198th position in La Vida’s Global Passport Ranking. While this number surpasses some neighbouring countries like Iraq (40) and Afghanistan (38), it still represents only 20.3% of the global destinations. Pakistan’s visa-free list includes countries such as Bahrain, Azerbaijan, Nepal and Qatar, but there is no access to some of the world’s most popular destinations, such as the USA, China, Hong Kong, UK, or Europe. In terms of economic significance, the countries accessible to Pakistani citizens constitute a mere 2.2% of the world’s GDP. Furthermore, their travel popularity score accounts for only 4.6% on a global scale. This places Pakistan’s passport in the bottom three weakest passports in the world, reflecting the challenges its citizens face in terms of international mobility.

SECOND PASSPORT SOLUTIONS

There is however a solution through a second citizenship investment for those who can afford to invest. However, there is a lot to consider when weighing up your second citizenship options and there is no ”one size fits all” approach. Whilst every country’s passport comes with a visa-free travel list, it’s important to consider the quality of those countries included, considering factors such as GDP wealth, as well as the combined value of countries with your current passport. La Vida’s unique Passport Value report does all of this and more.

From La Vida’s experience of dealing with many HNW Pakistani nationals, we know that global business links and education are some of the key driving factors behind their desire for second citizenship. With Pakistan being so reliant on international trade its restrictive access to just 2.2% of Global GDP is a major handicap for any Pakistani entrepreneurs and businesses.

In this case study, we have analysed some of the most popular second passport investment options for Pakistani citizens and explained why.
