Recent figures from Vanuatu’s Ministry of Finance and Treasury show that the income generated by the countries Citizenship by Investment programmes has almost trebled since the programme started in 2016.  In 2018, Vanuatu’s CBI programme generated an average of $6 million a month ($72 million annually). This was a huge improvement from 2016’s figures when the programme generated just $24.4 million for the whole year.

The Vanuatu Citizenship programme has become very popular with applicants looking for a low cost solution for visa free travel. Due to the islands location in the south pacific, it is particularly attractive to those residing in the far east and Australasia. Another attraction of the programme is that the government also accept Cryptocurrency payments along with US dollars and Euro payments.

As Vanuatu is a member of the Commonwealth of Nations it enables passport holders to travel freely to 125 countries worldwide, which includes most EU countries, the UK and Switzerland. The programme, which requires an donation of $160,000 for a single applicant (plus fees) and $220,000 for a family of four, has a speedy processing time of just 30-60 days from the date the file is submitted.

The Government recently announced that the Vanuatu passport will soon become a bio-metric passport with 15 new security features. Another extremely attractive benefit of Vanuatu Citizenship is that it is now possible for passport holders to apply for a three year multiple entry visa to Australia. For more details on the programme or for a personalised quotation, please contact one of our specialist consultants.
